Crime Scene Graduation Cake

Alright guys, I know I promised a post a while ago, but school got in the way again. But here I am! :D Anywhoo, my totally awesome sister just graduated from college and I decided to surprise her with what I love to do, cake! It was so much fun because I got to try something new, make sugar candy! :D

Here is the youtube link I used...http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3A53ePLkr8A
I was worried when I tried to do it, but it turned out just fine! I wanna try it again (: Next time I will do it with flavoring added in (:

If you wish to make the candy glass, just follow the instructions on the video, it's very helpful, they also have instructions in words in the description that are helpful (: Now...here are my images from me making the glass...

It really wasn't that hard, time consuming, yes, but not really all that hard.

Now, the cake! :D I baked the cakes and made the sugar glass the night before, then I did all the decorating the next day. In total, it took about....7 hours to make, maybe a little more. I used red raspberry syrup for the 'blood'. I made all the other details out of fondant, the body outline out of cookie icing (came in a bottle that looked like glue.), the letters were written with black food coloring and a toothpick. Time consuming, but not difficult (: If there are any questions about any of this, please ask and I will post any tips or anything, if I get a lot of the same question, I will make another post about it! Thanks guys!!
If the video doesn't work, there are images below it...

Thanks guys! <3
